A network of hydrogen export facilities set to be developed in the Nordics

Norwegian Hydrogen and Provaris Energy have extended their collaboration and will explore the development of hydrogen export facilities in the Nordics.

The two companies will utilise findings from the FjordH2 project completed last year (2023) for the project, utilising locally available renewable energy to produce hydrogen for shipment into European ports.

Export facilities will be strategically located in areas with grid connections and power supplies, and facilitate the construction of electrolysers and hydrogen compression solutions linked to export jetties. H2 View understands Provaris’ H2Neo carriers will transport the hydrogen with the H2Leo barge serving as a storage solution.
